Pierfrancesco Ceregioli • Biography

Pierfrancesco Ceregioli was born in Macerata (Italy) on May 25th 1993, he began studying classical piano, music theory and solfeggio at the age of five.
At fourteen (in parallel with classical studies) he devoted himself to techniques of the Hammond organ and vintage keyboards, in the meanwhile he plays in various rock/blues bands.

He graduates in Jazz Piano from "G. Rossini” Conservatory of Pesaro (Italy) in 2016, where he studies and deepens the techniques of piano jazz language, of jazz composition and arrangement; simultaneously taking an interest in the synthesis sound and experimental music.

In 2016, after graduating in jazz piano, he enrolls in the degree course of Electronic Music at the "G. Rossini” Conservatory of Pesaro (Italy) where he studied electronic music, contemporary music, soundscape composition, programming and synthesis.

Since 2016 he started working as an official pianist on the famous train of luxury "Orient Express".

In 2017 he graduates in the specialization course in "Music Instruments Engineering" from Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy).

In 2019 he graduates in Electronic Music from “G. Rossini” Conservatory with full marks (110/110).
In the academic year 2018/2019 he is an Erasmus Exchange Student at the "Conservatorio Superior
de Música J. Rodrigo" in Valencia (Spain) where he studies electronic and contemporary composition and performance.

Since October 2019 he works as arranger, composer, pianist and keyboardist in the Musicamdo Jazz Orchestra: an Italian jazz orchestra of 22 musicians conducted by Massimo Morganti.
Occasionally he covers the role of accompanist pianist in ensemble of classical music.
He plays regularly in jazz ensemble, big bands and other types of orchestras.

Since 2019 he works as sound designer and electronic music producer for Artec Studio: one of the most important light design studios in Barcelona (Spain).

In 2022 he master graduates in Jazz Composition & Arrangement from Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) (Barcelona, Spain).

He carries out an intense didactic and concert activity in jazz, in fusion and in the music contemporary/experimental as pianist, keyboardist, arranger, composer and sound designer also participating in important contexts and festivals.

Nowadays he is living and working as musician, composer, arranger, sound designer and music producer between Italy and Spain.
